Zabien Brown Talks Working with DB Coach Maurice Linguist
When Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer was filling out his coaching staff, he hired Maurice Linguist, the head coach at Buffalo at the time, to coach defensive backs. Linguist had a tall task ahead of him, as Alabama had to replace four of its starting defensive backs from the season prior.

Linguist turned an Alabama cornerback room that was full of questions into a top-five unit on the field, and he did so with USC transfer cornerback Domani Jackson and true freshman Zabien Brown.
Brown made his presence felt early, sealing the Crimson Tide's 41-34 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs with an interception of Carson Beck.
Linguist has Brown back for another season as a true sophomore, and the Tide's starting cornerback is one of the leaders for the Alabama secondary. On Wednesday night, he spoke about working with Linguist, who is now classified as Alabama's defensive backs coach.
"It's truly a blessing, being able to be coached by Coach Linguist," Brown said. "You know, just spending time throughout meetings, he's extremely detailed with his work on and off the field, in the meeting rooms, indy, stuff like that. He really breaks the game down for me. Really helps the secondary a lot."
Alabama and Wisconsin will kick off at 1:00 a.m. inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. You can listen to the game on Tide 100.9 and the Tide 100.9 app.
