With six games left in the regular season, Alabama softball still has the opportunity to secure one of 16 host sites for the 2018 NCAA Softball Tournament.

According to the Collegsportsmadness.com's latest regional projections, the Crimson Tide would be one of 16 teams to host a regional despite having an 8-10 record in the SEC and a 7-12 against the top 25 in this week's NCAA RPI rankings.

During this week's episode of the Across the Diamond podcast, James Hardy and Josh Smith examine what Alabama needs to do to secure a home regional spot for the 14th consecutive season.

The duo also recapped a horrific weekend for Alabama baseball against Auburn and a solid non-conference win against Troy Tuesday evening.
