Saturday against the Auburn Tigers, the Alabama Crimson Tide lost their third wide receiver this season due to injury as junior Kenny Bell suffered a leg injury

While Bell will be out for the next 5-6 weeks, true freshman Chris Black has not only been cleared to practice again, he has been cleared for contact after injuring his shoulder in fall camp.  Black, an early enrollee for the Crimson Tide, was expected to make an impact this season after reeling in 3 passes for 61 yards, including a 44 yard touchdown reception in Alabama's A-Day spring game.  Now, with recent developments Black may still have his chance to make an impact.

Bamaonline.com's Travis Reier joined The Game with Ryan Fowler and Mick Gillispie Monday night and noted it would not be the first time Alabama head coach Nick Saban has been faced with a tough decision to pull a player's redshirt.

With just two games left in the season, Reier believes that if Black were to participate, it would only be due to a key role in the game plan.

If the decision is made to play the receiver from Jacksonville, Fla Reier says while he is similar to receivers currently in Alabama's rotation, Black also brings his own special skill set.

Black was considered by ESPN to be the second ranked receiver in the 2012 signing class. He was a consensus four star prospect.
