Alabama Basketball Jumps to No. 17 in AP Poll
The Tide have jumped five spots in the AP Poll, rising from No. 22 to No. 17.
Alabama is also up to No. 15 in the coaches poll.
This follows Alabama's two dominant wins over South Alabama and Mercer, where the Tide outscored their two opponents a combined 200-113.
Alabama is the fourth-highest SEC team in the AP Poll, behind Kentucky (No. 16), Texas A&M (No. 12), and Tennessee (No. 7). Two more SEC members, Arkansas and Mississippi State, have also made the top 25.
Future SEC member Texas is also ranked at No. 15.
Next, Alabama will travel to Destin, Fla., to participate in the Emerald Coast Classic, where the Tide will face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes and then either Santa Clara or Oregon the following day.
