Alabama basketball will face familiar foe next season as they will be hosting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at home for the second straight year.

The game will be played on December 4 at Coleman Coliseum and should be an early test against a really good mid-major team.

In last years matchup against South Dakota State the Crimson Tide won a high scoring game 104-88 as they exploded in the second half by scoring 63 points.

Alabama's backcourt had a big game as Jahvon Quinerly and Jaden Shackelford combined for 49 points while Keon Ellis had a double-double as he finished the game with 15 points and 13 boards.

The Jackrabbits had a successful season last year, going 30-5 overall and went undefeated (18-0) in conference. The Summit League champions season came to an end however in the first round of the NCAA Tournament losing to the Providence Friars 66-57.

South Dakota State is just one of many challenging opponents on the Crimson Tide's schedule this upcoming season. The Jackrabbits join teams such as Gonzaga, Houston, Memphis and possibly North Carolina in the Phil Knight invitational that Alabama will square off against in 2022.
