Alabama’s winning score of 93.5 was enough to beat out South Florida’s score of 89.6 on the event’s final round, which was enough to earn the Crimson Tide its eighth national title.

This national championship gives the Tide its eighth in program history, fourth all-time in the event, and is the team’s first since 2022.

Alabama’s head coach, Jennifer Thrasher, shared how proud she is of her team and how she admires their commitment and preparation, and also expressed her pride that the Seniors of this team get to go out with a national title.

"Our All Girl team winning the program's eighth national championship is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to their talent, preparation, and execution at such a high level," Thrasher added, “Their ability to stay composed and perform the way they did on the national stage is such a testament to their preparation and commitment.  Not a single member of this team had won a national title in their time at Alabama, so it was really special for these seniors to go out on top."

The Crimson Tide who won a national title in the UCA Division 1A Co-Ed event a season ago finished fourth overall in this years competition, while the Tide’s spirit squads also stood out in the national competition with them earning a trio of strong placements in the Division 1A Gameday Dance, Jazz and Mascot divisons of the 2026 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship.

In the Gameday Dance finals, the Tide finished in third place with a 90.81 score. Alabama finished in ninth place for the Division 1A Jazz event with a 90.61 score. The Crimson Tide went on to finish in seventh place for the Division 1A Mascot event with an 89.48 score.

Alabama’s head coach went on to talk about how big an achievement it is for every team in the program to finish in the top 10 nationally, and how it speaks to the standard of the program that Thrasher has built in Tuscaloosa.

“Every team in our program finishing in the top 10 nationally is a reflection of the standard of excellence across our entire spirit program," Thrasher said. "We talk a lot about making our alumni proud and honoring the legacy of those who came before us, and making sure we leave something special for those who come next. I'm very thankful for our university that continues to believe in us. The support we receive from our administration and athletic department makes moments like this possible. Roll Tide!"

This three-day competition took place in Orlando, Florida, at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports, with teams from across the country at all levels participating.
