The summer time is a time for rest, relaxation and recharging. Most people schedule a vacation to get away but when you're Alabama head basketball coach Nate Oats you only have to go as far as your backyard to escape. Oats was caught on camera enjoying his summer, showing off his wake boarding skills on Lake Tuscaloosa.

Oats has been vocal since coming to Tuscaloosa about enjoying the Alabama climate and outdoor opportunities.

"We got on the lake, I like getting on the lake, little bit, do a little surfing, maybe some tubing," said Oats in an earlier interview with Ryan Fowler.

This isn't the first athletic highlight we have seen from Oats this offseason. Oats, after receiving backlash for his novice golf game at the Regions Tradition produced a hole-in-one to silence the critics.

Oats sure seems to be enjoying his offseason for a coach enduring significant roster turnover. His Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team faces the possibility of replacing its entire starting five from last season. The Tide lost Herb Jones, John Petty III, Jordan Bruner and Alex Reese to graduation, lost Joshua Primo to the NBA Draft and appears as if it will lose Jaden Shackelford to the transfer portal.

The video of Oats proves he is the top SEC surfing supervisor after he executed the 360 with more ease than current Florida Gators football coach Dan Mullen. While Mullen remained upright on the board, his spin nearly sent him swimming giving the edge to Oats who pulled off his move in style.
