An escape.

For fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Notre Dame Fighting Irish the BCS National Championship provided an escape from cooler temperatures. It offered an escape from the hassles of school and work as fans flocked to the beaches and embraced the nightlife scene.

For Nick Saban and his football team, the game was an escape from the talk of dynasties and the National Football League. Meanwhile, Brian Kelly and his unit saw the stamp to a perfect season and a place  atop college football's mountain escape right through their finger tips.

However for Harrison, an 11 year-old fifth-grader who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia just five days after his birthday on December 9th 2011, the BCS National Championship was an escape unto itself as The Game's Ryan Fowler explains.
