Terrion Arnold Contacted by NFL Teams, Expects to be Signed

Former Alabama defensive back Terrion Arnold was arrested in June on three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to kidnap, and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with an incident in Tampa, Florida, in February.

Following his arrest, he was initially denied bond last Thursday before his pre-trial detention hearing on Monday of this week, where he was then granted bond on the condition that he not have contact with co-defendants or witnesses, must surrender his passport, and must remain at home or work. The prosecution pushed for him to wear an ankle monitor, to which the judge "regretfully rejects," according to court documents from Monday's hearing, with the bond set at $1 million. Shortly after, the Detroit Lions released the former first-round pick out of Alabama.

After his release from the Lions, prosecutors sought to have Arnold wear an ankle monitor while he was at home on confinement, arguing that his release from the Lions meant that he no longer had football-related obligations (the "work" aspect of home or work for his bond). Arnold's agent then submitted a court filing, stating that three NFL teams have already contacted the former Alabama defensive back since he was waived, and he is expecting to join a new team within 30 days, according to reports on X.
