Alabama’s Zabien Brown Shares Lessons from Last Year’s Georgia Game
Game week for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs is here, and the buzz continues. As always during game week, select Alabama football players speak with the media on Tuesday to detail how they’re preparing for their next opponent, what they’ve seen from their upcoming opponent, and previous lessons.

Last year, the Bulldogs traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for an SEC showdown in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Many highlights and moments of chaos occurred during that game. Notably, Zabien Brown who was a true freshman cornerback in that game, secured a game-winning interception that helped the Crimson Tide win, 41-34.
On Tuesday, Brown discussed what he learned from that experience and the kind of leader he can be for the younger players that have yet to play an SEC opponent, especially a team like the Bulldogs.
“They [Georgia] are going to go after you. You’ve got to hold your own and keep a 1-0 mindset-a next play mindset-and just keep fighting,” said Brown.
Brown finished his freshman campaign with 18 total tackles (14 solo, four assisted), two tackles for loss, three interceptions (for four return yards), two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries for 68 yards, including one touchdown. He also received Freshman All-SEC Team recognition.
Brown started in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide as a true freshman and impressed throughout the season. Following an impressive freshman campaign, Brown entered the 2025 season with high expectations.
Brown has remained a starter for the 2025 season alongside fellow starting cornerback Domani Jackson, making the duo a focal point of Alabama's secondary.
