Alabama Has Set a New Record for the Most Super Bowl-Winning Players
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- Following the Philadelphia Eagles' victory in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9, the University of Alabama has set a new record for the most Super Bowl-winning players, totaling 54, as reported by the university.

The Eagles' roster includes seven former Crimson Tide athletes: Jalen Hurts, who was a standout quarterback before finishing his career at Oklahoma, along with DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Tyler Steen, Eli Ricks, Byron Young, and Cameron Latu, who was signed as a reserve.
Notably, Hurts and Smith are the first quarterback and wide receiver duo to win both a National Championship and a Super Bowl. Smith also holds the distinction of being the only former Crimson Tide wide receiver to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl.
Alabama further claims the record for having three former starting quarterbacks who have won both an FBS National Championship and a Super Bowl. The university has also produced three Super Bowl MVPs: Bart Starr, who earned the title in the first two Super Bowls, Joe Namath, the MVP of Super Bowl III, and Hurts, who took home the honor in Super Bowl LIX.
