Gibson is very familiar with Alabama's campus, having visited four times this year, the most recent on November 30th, when Alabama defeated in-state rivals Auburn 28-14 in the Iron Bowl.
Gibson, who stands 6 feet 1 and weighs 174 pounds, is the fourth-best prospect out of Alabama in his class and the eighth-ranked cornerback in the 2026 class, according to On3 Industry Rankings.
Gibson, a ball-hawking cornerback who plays fantastic man-to-man with the four-star cornerback locking down receivers in phase, is a junior at Gadsen City High School in Gadsen, Alabama. Gibson, the fourth-ranked prospect from Alabama in the 2026 class, shuts down any screen that crosses his side of the field. He is also an exceptional tackler in open field. In addition, Gibson is a very skilled kick returner; the 4 star cornerback has recovered a few punts for scores this season.

The junior from Gadsden City announced his final four schools on December 14th on X, which include Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Miami. Auburn is the only school, apart from Alabama, that Gibson has visited more than two times. The four-star cornerback visited the Tigers four times during the past season, with the most recent visit occurring on September 21st, 2024, when Auburn lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks, 24-14.
On3's Recruiting Prediction Meter shows that Alabama has a 97.7% chance of securing a commitment from a four-star cornerback from Gadsden. The addition of this player would significantly benefit Deboer and the Tide's 2026 recruiting class, which is currently unranked by 247 Sports. This follows the recent announcement by Vodney Cleveland, a four-star defensive lineman from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama, who decided to de-commit from the Crimson Tide on Monday night.
With the Crimson Tide currently the overwhelming favorite, Deboer and the team are determined to sign the four-star cornerback. As Gibson's commitment date is set for Christmas eve we will keep you updated with any changes in his recruitment.
