The Crimson Tide has started its final week of spring practice, with Tuesday's practice being available for media viewing for roughly 15 minutes. While we couldn't see everything in those 15 minutes, we learned a lot about the Crimson Tide from the media viewing portion.

Quarterbacks

Ty Simpson still seems to be leading the charge, which tracks with comments made by former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy last week. From what we saw, Simpson was the lead man in all the drills pertaining to quarterbacks on Tuesday morning. Behind him still were Austin Mack and Keelon Russell, in order of seniority.

Depth at Tight End is Rough

Alabama has had more than its fair share of injuries at tight end this spring. Kalen DeBoer said last week that Josh Cuevas and Marshall Pritchett would miss the remainder of spring with injuries, piling onto Danny Lewis Jr. missing the entirety of spring. Leading the Tide at tight end was redshirt freshman Jay Lindsey, with South Alabama transfer Jayden Hobson following him as the No. 2 guy. Could the Tide tackle depth at this position in the transfer portal? I wouldn't rule it out.

A Big Factor Returns to Practice

Speaking of injuries, there was a positive injury update from Tuesday morning, with Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor returning to practice, albeit in a non-contact jersey. Proctor has started at left tackle for the Tide the last two seasons but has yet to complete a healthy spring practice with Alabama.

Injury Updates: Two Receivers Working on the Side

Alabama has had more than its fair share of injuries this spring. DeBoer spoke about "a couple of nicks" to Ryan Williams. Williams was spotted alongside receiver Cole Adams on the exercise bike during the viewing portion. Additionally, offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark was with them on the bikes.

A Plethora of Riches at Defensive Back

Alabama's defensive back room might be one of the biggest strengths of this year's squad. With Domani Jackson out for spring, The Tide have searched for someone to pair on the opposite side of Zabien Brown. Five-star freshman Dijon Lee looks to be capitalizing, with Lee lined up as the first-team cornerback opposite Brown during practice. In individual reps, Lee was second behind Brown.

Red Morgan was also working with the cornerbacks again.

Music Notes

I thoroughly enjoyed the music at today's practice, hearing "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin and "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins during our viewing portion of practice.
