Injury Bug Continues to Bite Alabama Football
With the conclusion of Alabama's second scrimmage came the unfortunate news that a pair of Tide players will either miss the remainder of spring or will be limited for the rest of spring practice. Alabama is already dealing with key injuries in certain spots, including starters Kadyn Proctor, Keon Sabb, and Domani Jackson (who are all missing the entirety of spring practice).

On Friday, after Alabama's second spring scrimmage, head coach Kalen DeBoer mentioned two more stars that will be limited or out for the remainder of spring practice.
Tight end Josh Cuevas was the first person DeBoer mentioned in his press conference.
"Battled through some injuries at one position in particular - tight end - Josh Cuevas will be good for the Fall, but be done for the rest of the spring," DeBoer mentioned on Friday. "And Marshall Pritchett. The tight end position went from lean at one point, with not all the guys here at that position. Kaleb Edwards isn't here yet, and with Danny Lewis Jr. not practicing this spring, we're thin there."
The Tide is now down three scholarship tight ends in spring practice, with the loss of Cuevas for the rest of spring ball. Marshall Pritchett suffered an injury earlier in the week.
Kaleb Edwards is a summer enrollee. Edwards is a four-star tight end prospect from Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California, who signed with the Crimson Tide in December.
The injury bug did not stop with the tight end room, scuttling its way into the Alabama receiver room and biting Alabama's leading receiver from last season - Ryan Williams.
"We didn't have Ryan [Williams] scrimmage today," DeBoer said. "Just taking care of him; we know what we have there. He maybe might not do too much the rest of spring. There are a couple of knicks and things like that, but if you asked him, he'd be out there and scrimmaging. He's dressed up and ready to go, but just being really careful with some things he's going through here the last week or so."
All three players DeBoer mentioned, Pritchett, Cuevas, and Williams, are expected to be ready to go for fall camp.
