Which Alabama Player Was Named SEC Player of the Week?
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was displeased with his performance in the Tide's 27-24 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in Columbia, Missouri. Although Simpson wasn't happy, the Crimson Tide fanbase was, and the SEC saw enough from Alabama's signal caller to name him SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

On Saturday, against the Missouri Tigers, Ty Simpson completed 23-31 passes (74% completion), throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns, including the eventual game-sealing touchdown to Daniel Hill.
He also rushed 10 times for seven yards, with his longest rush gaining 20 yards. Sack yardage is taken out of a quarterback's rushing yards in college, resulting in the funky-looking stat line.
Monday's SEC Weekly Honor is the second for Ty Simpson over the last three weeks. He won SEC Offensive Player of the Week in Alabama's 24-21 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs, where he threw two touchdowns and rushed for another, accounting for all three touchdowns Alabama had in the win over Georgia. Simpson again accounted for all three touchdowns Alabama had over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in Columbia.
