As first reported by the Tuscaloosa News and beat writer Nick Kelly, Seth McLaughlin is expected to enter the transfer portal as of Wednesday afternoon, following his season-ending meeting with Nick Saban.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.

McLaughlin has spent four seasons in Tuscaloosa after a stellar high school career in Buford, GA. 14 games at center in 2023 after he started eight games at there in 2022. He began his career stepping into the Iron Bowl and played well in the 2021 SEC Championship Game.

He struggled with low and early snaps much of 2023, partly due to a wrist injury. He leaves Tuscaloosa with three varsity letters and both a bachelor's and masster's degree, graduating with honors.
