Bol Bowen previously played at Florida State before spending the 2025-26 season with Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide for his junior season. During his one season with the Crimson Tide, Bol Bowen was hindered by injuries, but still appeared in 30 games with 11 starts for Alabama, averaging 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 41.2% from the floor and 30.2% from three-point range, playing an average of 19 minutes per game. His top performance came in Alabama's second game of the season, a 203-96 victory over St. John's, where he scored 17 points and collected nine boards in Madison Square Garden.

The Jericho, Vermont, native was hampered by a hamstring injury for much of SEC play that saw his minutes restricted and never quite able to enter the flow of Nate Oats' offense. Despite dealing with injury, Bol Bowen worked his way back to help lead Alabama to a victory over the Hofstra Pride in the Round of 64 in the NCAA tournament, scoring 15 points and blocking three shots in the Tide's 20-point victory.

Bol Bowen is the first Alabama men's basketball player to enter the transfer portal, and likely won't be the last. The transfer portal officially opens on Tuesday, April 7, and will remain open for 14 days, closing on April 21.
