Alabama Tops List of College Football Tweeting States

The Emory University Sports Marketing Analytics team (@sportsmktgprof on Twitter) have analyzed the top college football tweeting states and, not surprisingly, Alabama tops the list.

According to the study, the results were a compiled based on "a Geo-based Twitter analysis of conversation about college football by state in the last six months."

Using that formula, the group came up with the top five college football tweeting states as follows:

1. Alabama
2. Mississippi
3. Tennessee
4. South Carolina
5. West Virginia
