The Alabama men’s basketball team took down No. 22 Mississippi State, 83-79, in Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night. The victory marked the Crimson Tide’s third win over an AP Top-25 team this season.

Senior Donta Hall led all scorers tonight with 19 points and added seven rebounds. Sophomore John Petty Jr. added 13 points and graduate student Riley Norris put in 11 points, both coming off the bench. Alabama (13-7, 4-3 SEC) knocked down eight free throws in the final 70 seconds of regulation to defeat the Bulldogs (15-5, 3-4).

Alabama set a season-high for points in the paint with 54 in the contest, outscoring Mississippi State 54-44. Alabama’s reserves added valuable minutes registering a total of 34 points in the game.
