Five-Star 2027 SF Includes Alabama in Top 8 Schools
On Wednesday, Alabama's Crimson Tide basketball program gained momentum in the 2027 recruiting class when a five-star small forward included Alabama among his top eight schools.

Malachi Jordan, a five-star forward in the 2027 class, announced his top eight schools to Rivals’ Joe Tipton. Alabama was listed alongside other prestigious basketball programs, including Kansas, Tennessee, UConn, USC, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, and Washington.
Jordan is a 6-foot-6, 205-pound forward entering his senior year at Prolific Prep in Florida. He is currently ranked as the No. 2 small forward in the class, and the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2027 class, according to Rivals' industry rankings.
The five-star small forward has already visited Washington, back in October of last year. He currently has visits lined up for USC (September 4), Kansas (September 12), Vanderbilt (September 19), and Tennessee (September 26). He is also scheduled to visit Connecticut on October 6, according to Rivals.
According to Tipton, Alabama secured a visit with Jordan in early June. The No. 14 overall prospect in the 2027 class is scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa sometime in October.
Alabama has yet to secure a commitment for the 2027 class, but the program is trending in the right direction. Many blue-chip prospects are showing interest in Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide. Earlier this week, Alabama locked down a visit with four-star shooting guard RJ Moore, and last month scheduled a visit with four-star guard Chase Lumpkin, according to Tipton. Both players are expected to visit later in September, according to Rivals.
