Oats Lands 7-Foot Canadian Center for Tide’s 2026 Class

On Monday, Alabama head coach Nate Oats and his staff landed a class of 2026 7-foot center from Canada.

TJ St. Louis, a 7-foot, 265-pound center from Fort Erie International Academy in Ontario, Canada, committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

St. Louis is a three-star prospect, ranked as the No. 47 center and the No. 348 overall prospect in the 2026 class according to Rivals. The seven-footer played the 2025-2026 season in Ontario after playing the previous season at the NBA Academy Latin America.

This pickup gives Alabama its fifth commitment in the 2026 class, which currently ranks No. 6 in 247’s composite rankings. Four of the Tide’s five commitments are ranked among the top 60 players nationally according to 247.

St. Louis brings elite length with a 7-foot-5 wingspan and 9-foot-5 standing reach, providing valuable depth in the paint for the Tide. He joins three recent transfers (Drew Fielder, Jamarion Davis-Flemming, and Brandon Garrison) who are all 6'10" or taller as Alabama continues prioritizing size in the frontcourt.

The Tide's newest addition to the 2026 class will be expected to compete for minutes as a rotational piece during his freshman season. Oats will look to develop him into the Tide's next dominant big after Alabama lost its former seven-foot center Aiden Sherrell to Indiana this past offseason in the Transfer portal.
