Alabama Wide Receiver Declares For NFL Draft

Alabama's superstar wide receiver junior Jameson Williams has declared for the NFL Draft. The speedster made the announcement on his Instagram on Thursday. Despite suffering a torn ACL in the national championship game, Williams is still expected to be drafted in the first round.

Williams utilized the transfer portal in the 2021 offseason to join the Alabama Crimson Tide by way of Ohio State. He immediately showcased his skills in the Tide's first game against Miami. Williams hauled in four receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown in his Alabama debut.

His big plays didn't stop there as he finished the season with 79 receptions for 1572 yards and 15 touchdowns, additionally he returned 10 kickoffs for 352 yards and two touchdowns.

Williams will likely be in competition with his former Ohio State teammates Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson for the first wide receiver taken in the NFL Draft.

Not only did he impact the Alabama offense by providing a big play threat but he also influenced the Crimson Tide culture with his signature "Crimson Crane" celebration. His adoption of the Karate Kid's crane pose spread like wildfire throughout the Alabama fan base.

Williams follows Evan Neal, Chris Allen and Josh Jobe as Alabama players to leave for the NFL Draft.
