Both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll have fluctuated throughout the season. Some top teams have maintained their rankings, while others gradually built their resumes and climbed into the rankings.

On Tuesday, the first AP and Coaches Poll for 2026 was released, and Alabama women's basketball appeared in the Coaches Poll as the No. 24 team in the country. Despite finishing the 2024-2025 season ranked as the No. 20 nationally with a 24-9 record and another NCAA tournament appearance, the Crimson Tide began the 2025 season unranked.

The Crimson Tide entered the Coaches Poll on Dec. 9 at No. 25 before moving up to No. 24 in the Dec. 16 poll. Although Alabama has been earning votes, the Crimson Tide have yet to appear in the AP Poll.

No. RV/ 24 Alabama will face No. 6/7 Kentucky on Thursday, Jan. 8, in Coleman Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network+. This game represents the Crimson Tide with an opportunity to secure their first ranked win of the season.
