The New England Patriots selected Anfernee Jennings with the 87th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jennings becomes the ninth Crimson Tide Player selected and the fifth on day two of the draft. Jennings was picked three picks behind his outside linebacker counterpart Terrell Lewis.

Jennings will join former Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower in the New England linebacker core. Jennings is a tough player who sets the edge well and has adequate versatility. As a senior he earned First Team All SEC in 2019.

Jennings finished his Crimson Tide career with 193 tackles, 14.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He won two national championships while in Tuscaloosa. Jennings overcame a serious knee injury and became a leader on the 2019 Alabama defense.

2019's 87th pick was former Crimson Tide player, and now current New England Patriot teammate, Damien Harris. Harris signed a four-year contract worth $3.6 million and Jennings will sign a similar contract this season with the Patriots.
