Bama in the NFL: Week 13 Recap
Week 13 has flown by and had some amazing games to watch. A four day span of this weeks games meant more days with football, so no complaints. Let's see how the teams and players from Bama did.
Dolphins - 17 vs. Packers - 30:
Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) - Another tough cold road game for the Dolphins. Coming up short in this matchup, Waddle saw four catches for 53 yards. A modest day for him and one in which weather played a big role in stifling their offense. Waddle was active and made some clutch plays on key drives, but again it was a tough day against a real good opponent.
Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) - Tossing the rock for 365 yards and two touchdowns, it was a good game from him. Unfortunately they could not find enough to win, but Tua still proved he can ball and that he is capable even when it's cold out. Tua should be able to continue having a good year stats wise going forward, but the upcoming divisional games left will be a challenge.
Josh Jacobs (Packers) - Not his most efficient when it comes to yards per carry, but he was still able to find the endzone and do a lot of damage in the pass game, in which he had 74 yards receiving off 4 catches. It looks like Jacobs is peaking at the right time for this team as they look to make a playoff push.
Titans - 19 vs. Commanders - 42:
Calvin Ridley (Titans) - Only coming away with two catches off of seven targets for 45 yards, it was another struggle offensively for the Titans. Levis was again not very accurate in this matchup, limiting Ridleys catches. With the volume Ridley is seeing he should be able to bounce back in the coming weeks.
Brian Robinson jr. (Commanders) - 16 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown, it was indeed his game on the ground as he leads this backfield. Robinson has made a huge impact for this team this year and that continued on Sunday. Expect him to continue to carry this backfield going forward.
Buccaneers - 26 vs. Panthers - 23:
Bryce Young (Panthers) - What an outing from Young! Even in this tough divisional loss he still played like a true franchise qb. Throwing for 298 yards, a touchdown, and rushing the ball for another 17 yards with a touchdown, Young showed his versatility all game. They should have won but a fumble by their running back took away their opportunity on the last drive to kick a field goal for the win. A great game for Young and one that should give him and this organization plenty of confidence going forward.
Player of the week: Jerry Jeudy
Jerry Jeudy (Browns) - A great game on Monday night, not only to watch, but also for Jeudy. Jeudy racked up a total of 235 yards and a touchdown against his former team. This was a beautiful game to see from Jeudy and is indicitive of his talents at the position. With Winston no stranger to tossing the rock around like a mad man, it's no surprise Jeudy is feasting.
That does it for this week's best players and games! Check back Thursday for the week 14 outlook as the playoff picture is starting to shape up. Roll Tide!
