4-Star Recruit London Merritt Refers to Alabama as ‘GOAT Status’
2025 four-star recruit London Merritt out of Woodward High School in Georgia visited Alabama on Saturday for A-Day, making that his second visit to the Tide since earning an offer back in January.

“It was dope. I had a great time there," Merritt said when discussing his A-Day visit. "Coach was cool, real and chill as always. We talked about getting ready for the spring, and he would be coming to catch one of my spring practices.”
Merritt said he had a great second conversation with head coach Nick Saban, and later referred to Alabama's program as 'GOAT status'.
Merritt is still weighing offers from other division one programs such as Ole Miss, LSU, and USC, but he said that the Crimson Tide is "up there" on his list.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Merritt's ability to get-off the ball as quick as he does makes him one of the most talented defensive line prospects in the country. His ability to make several plays behind the line of scrimmage immediately caught the eyes of head coach Nick Saban, as a top prospect of the 2025 recruiting class.
