It was a disappointing night in Coleman Coliseum as Alabama watched its chance at a one-seed in the NCAA tournament evaporate as the Florida Gators out-physicaled the Crimson Tide to a 99-94 victory for Florida on Alabama's senior night.

Seven years ago, a loss like this would have kept Alabama out of the NCAA tournament. Now, Alabama has the luxury of knowing Oats will have the Crimson Tide in the hunt for one of the top seeds in March. While Alabama will likely not retain a one-seed this year, Alabama fans can rest easy knowing the Crimson Tide will likely end up as one of the eight highest teams in the tournament in two weeks.

With the latest loss for Alabama (its fourth loss in the last six games), where does Alabama land in the latest bracketology update, and where could the Crimson Tide play its first round game of the NCAA tournament?

Bracketology expert Joe Lunardi of ESPN updated his projections following the Wednesday night action in the SEC. In his latest projection, Alabama is still a two-seed in the NCAA tournament, although the region has shifted. The Crimson Tide was previously projected to be in the Midwest region, with the Round of 64 and the Round of 32 being played in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight being played in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Now, Alabama is projected as the two-seed in the East Region, with the Round of 64 and Round of 32 being played in Cleveland, Ohio. The Sweet 16 and Elite Eight will be played in Newark, New Jersey.
