Alabama baseball head coach Brad Bohannon joined The Gary Harris Show on Thursday to preview the Ole Miss series this weekend in Oxford.

Alabama is 18-12 overall this year and 4-5 in conference play. The Crimson Tide has been in a number of close contests this year.

"We have played more one-run games than any team in the country," Bohannon said. "We're just one big hit away or making one pitch away from being on the other side of it."

Alabama will take on the No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels. Ole Miss is 19-9 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

"Ole Miss is a great team. They're older. They're physical," Bohannon said. "It'll be a tremendous challenge but I like where our team is at and I expect that we'll be in three really tight games."

Alabama has gotten back a big bat in the last week. William Hamiter returned to the diamond this past weekend against Texas A&M after suffering a broken foot in February. He has made an immediate impact going 4-8 with a homerun and 8 runs batted in, in his four games since returning.

"I cannot believe how well "Hammy" has played," Bohannon said. "He's just one of those kids that has the hitting gene."

The full interview with coach Bohannon can be found here.

The first game of the series between Alabama and Ole Miss is scheduled for Friday at 6:30 p.m. Games two and three are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
