Brent Venables on Playing in Bryant-Denny Stadium
Last season, the Oklahoma Sooners got the better of the Alabama Crimson Tide, ending the Tide's hopes of an SEC Championship berth and College Football Playoff appearance. Oklahoma pulled off the 24-3 upset by dominating Alabama at the line of scrimmage and shutting down Alabama's passing attack.

The Tide is expected to be bigger, stronger, and faster along both lines of scrimmage, making Crimson Tide fans excited for the 2025 season. Alabama will get its chance for revenge against Oklahoma when the Tide welcomes the Sooners into Bryant-Denny Stadium on November 15.
Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables wasn't overly excited when asked about the matchup with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday during SEC Media Days.
"Excited to go to Tuscaloosa?" Venables jokingly asked. "I'm a coach, I'm a loyalist, I'm a traditionalist, so I love that part of it, but I don't love - there will be nothing loving about going to Bryant-Denny Stadium.
"I've been there before with Oklahoma, a long time ago in the early 2000s. Beautiful venue, and it's going to be a tremendous challenge. Alabama fans are as good as it gets."
It sounds like Brent Venables isn't excited about having to play Alabama in Tuscaloosa this season.
