Alabama signed an impressive 2020 recruiting class, most notably headlined by five-star quarterback Bryce Young. Young, considered the best quarterback in the 2020 class enrolled early and will go through spring practice with the hopes of beating out junior quarterback Mac Jones. Young has been assigned the number nine for his Crimson Tide career.

The most recent Crimson Tide player to excel in the number nine jersey was wide receiver Amari Cooper, Freddie Kitchens also wore the number nine during his time at the Capstone playing quarterback in the mid 90s.

Young is the second best recruit in the 2020 class according to 247sports. He stands at 5'11" and weighs 183 pounds, he threw 152 touchdowns for Mater Dei High School and will look to continue the stretch of good quarterback play in Tuscaloosa after Tua Tagovailoa's departure for the NFL Draft. Alabama opens up its spring practice on Friday, March 13. Keep it locked in with Tide 100.9fm, tide1009.com/listen-live and the TIDE APP for all your updates on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
