CBS Sports Analyst Discusses Supreme Court Ruling on Sports Betting
On Monday, the Supreme Court gave the go-ahead to certain states to legalize betting on sports with a 6-3 ruling that struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act.
Although sports like the NBA and MLB has used sports betting websites as advertisers, the sports world has reacted to the recent ruling and the conversation is surrounding college sports. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey wrote a statement regarding the recent ruling and it's long-term impact.
Although the ruling has not hit the state of Alabama, with the Crimson Tide being one of the biggest draws in college football, could it be a matter of time Alabama passes a bill to legalize sports betting and how does this impact the NCAA in the long-term.
Barrett Sallee, CBS Sports college football analyst and host of the SEC Smothered and Covered podcast, joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss the Supreme Court ruling and how it affects the landscape of college football and also will the sports betting make it's way to the state of Alabama.
