The moon was full Friday night in West Alabama and so were many of the high school football scoreboards. Here’s a look at the finals from around the area:

Jackson Willingham and the ACA ground game held off a gutty Jags quarterback Rowdy Christensen as the Pats won 44-36.

Central’s ground game was too much for Aliceville and the Falcons got a big road win 55-6.

Tuscaloosa Christian won at home over Success Unlimited 52-16 as Warriors quarterback Luke Jones came up big.

Hillcrest had no trouble with Gadsden City 32-3.

L.J. Cormier led Sipsey Valley over Oak Grove 21-14.

Gordo cruised over Pickens County to again win the “Eight Mile War” 52-8.

Montgomery Catholic shut out Demopolis 42-0.

Bibb County lost at No. 1 Andalusia 27-10.

Lamar County bashed Berry 42-6.

Fayette County won at Marion County to spoil the Raiders homecoming, 55-28.

Holt was shut out at Wenonah 54-0.

Winfield took out Hamilton 50-0.

Holtville defeated West Blocton 32-27

North River Christian got a big game from quarterback Joshua Harris to beat Meadowview 50-20.

Sulligent spanked South Lamar 41-12.

Greensboro won over R.C. Hatch 6-0.

Southern Academy held off Wilcox Academy 30-29.

Hoover fell to 1-5 after losing to Mountain Brook 34-24.

On Thursday night, Preston Lancaster passed Tuscaloosa Academy to a 42-20 win over University Charter.

Also Thursday, Clay-Chalkville went to Alabaster and upset Thompson 36-33.
