Clemson Now No. 1, Alabama Drops to No. 5 Heading Into Final Week
For the first time this season, the University of Alabama is not among the top four teams in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Following the loss to Auburn in the Iron Bowl, the Crimson Tide dropped to No. 5 in the latest rankings with only one weekend of football left. Clemson took Alabama's spot in the No. 1 spot and the Tigers were followed by Auburn at No. 2, Oklahoma at No. 3, and Wisconsin at No. 4.
The best news for Alabama is that it has three top 25 wins now that Fresno State has climbed in at No. 25. But now the Tide will have to sit back and watch what happens on championship weekend to see if any teams lose ahead of them.
