College Football Playoff Set to Reveal National Championship Trophy

Often forgotten about during the College Football Playoff discussion is the departure of the crystal ball trophy that used to signify the pinnacle of the sport. The new structure will bring with it a new trophy for the national champion.

There hasn't been very many hints as to what we can expect from the new design, but tthe College Football Playoff has released a 30 second tease that tells us a little about the trophy. It's clear that crystal will be replaced with steel and the football shape might become cylindrical. Other than that, we'll have to wait until July 14 for the big reveal.

It's not the only new product the group is rolling out. On Friday, they also introduced a new website (www.collegefootballplayoff.com) for everything you need about the new structure.
