College Football Upset Alert Games for 2019

One of the most exciting aspects in the world of sports is seeing an underdog that is thought to have little chance of winning topple a favorite.

Earlier this week, Brad Crawford from 247Sports listed 10 college football games with upset potential for the 2019 season.

Among SEC teams, Crawford sees Colorado State having a chance to beat Arkansas for the second season in a row, Utah State with an opportunity to upset LSU and Auburn with a chance to defeat Alabama in the Iron Bowl. He also believes an opportunity for Syracuse to throw a monkey wrench in Clemson's plans for a national championship run for the second time in three seasons.

During Wednesday's edition of Inside the Locker Room, Alabama football beat writer for the Crimson White James Benedetto, WVUA-FM sports director AJ Spurr and me gave our thoughts on Crawford's selections for potential upset alert games including whether Syracuse can catch Clemson napping after playing Texas A&M, whether the Iron Bowl can really qualify as an upset alert game and if Nebraska can rebound from a disappointing first season under Scott Frost and beat Ohio State.
