Former Alabama cornerback Tony Brown has been signed to the Indianapolis Colts' 53-man roster.

This comes the same day as the NFL team released former Georgia kicker Rodrigo Blankenship.

Brown signed with the Colts in March of 2022 as a free agent. On August 31, 2022, he was released by the team, then re-signed onto the practice squad.

He was elevated to the active roster for the Colts' Week 1 tie with the Houston Texans 20-20, but was officially signed to the 53-man roster on Tuesday afternoon.

The four-year veteran impressed in the Colts' second preseason game against the Detroit Lions in August, where he had six total tackles (five solo, one assisted), two passes defended, and one interception for 28 yards.

The Beaumont, Texas native played three seasons with the Crimson Tide, appearing in 38 games, recording 79 total tackles (51 solo, 28 assisted), 4.5 tackles for loss (21 yards), 0.5 sacks for four yards, three interceptions, seven passes defended, and one forced fumble.

The 6'0, 199 lb corner was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Chargers in April of 2018. Since then, Brown has seen short stints on the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Colts.

According to the ESPN Colts depth chart, Brown is the third-string right cornerback, behind Isaiah Rodgers and Stephon Gilmore.
