Former Alabama defensive lineman Byron Young as been selected by the Las Vegas Raiders as the No. 70 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Miss., native played four seasons at the Capstone, recording 139 total tackles (56 solo, 83 assisted), 22.5 tackles for loss for 72 yards, 7.5 sacks for 40 yards, three passes defended, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Young is the sixth Alabama alumnus to be selected this year thus far, joining joining the likes of Bryce Young, Will Anderson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Brian Branch, and Tyler Steen. 

He joins former Alabama players O.J. Howard, Josh Jacobs, and Cam Sims on the Raiders roster.
