A&P Sports Agency announced a statement about their decision to part ways with former Alabama linebacker Keanu Koht.

Statement from A&P Sports Agency:

"A&P Agency announces they have decided to part ways with Keanu Koht, effective 11/25/2024. We wish him the best in his future endeavors. No further details will be provided at this time."

Early in November, Koht made headlines with law enforcement. According to AL.com, Koht was pulled over for speeding at 2:55 p.m. on November 2nd and cited as driving at 105 miles per hour in Tuscaloosa County.

Koht, a redshirt junior, was suspended by Alabama for the LSU and Mercer game that occurred in November. Koht has appeared in 14 games over three seasons, posting 9 tackles, a half sack, and a fumble recovery. Koht appeared in 7 games for Alabama in 2024 as a key reserve.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer commented on Koht's suspension from the Crimson Tide a few weeks ago.

"Not getting into length or anything like that, but won't be with us this weekend," said DeBoer.

Last week, Koht released a statement about his decision to redshirt and ultimately enter the transfer portal this season.

"After careful reflection and consideration, I’ve come to realize that I’ve outgrown the shoes I once wore here. With that in mind, I have made the decision to enter my name into the transfer portal, with two years of eligibility remaining. This was not an easy choice, but it’s one I believe is best for my future and personal growth," said Koht.

Alabama will kick off against Auburn on Saturday, November 30, at 2:30 p.m. CT. Kick-off is set for 2:30 p.m. CT.
