Former Alabama National Champion Lineman Alphonse Taylor in Shank

After resting during the BYE week, former Alabama lineman and national champion Alphonse "Shankk" Taylor joined Host of Southern Fried Sports Travis Reier to preview the #1 Crimson Tide's upcoming match-up against the #3 LSU Tigers.

After discussing what it was like to take his daughter trick-or-treating for the first time, the conversation turned towards what goes on during the BYE week at Alabama.

"We go camp style," Shankk said. "We hit it hard, we work on everything we don't typically get the time to work during the week. BYE week gives you a chance to go back and refresh over some of those things."

Before diving into the Alabama-LSU game, Travis got Shankk's honest opinion about how the Crimson Tide preformed in their 58-21 victory over Jeremy Pruitt's Volunteers. Afterwards, while previewing the Crimson Tide's upcoming game against the Tigers, Shankk had this to say about the atmosphere in Death Valley.

"It is just unlike anything anywhere else." Shankk Added, "You just have to go to a game there at least once to fully understand."
