Brian Robinson Jr Looking to Have an Explosive Year in Washington D.C.
The Washington Commanders had a draft for the ages this past April with solid picks across the board for the team.
The Tuscaloosa native Brian Robinson Jr was one of them.
In the third round, Robinson's life changed forever as he has finally succeeded in his goal in getting into the National Football League.
It doesn't stop there though as the Commanders are looking to use B-Rob very consistently in the offense this upcoming season.
Head Coach Ron Rivera said in his daily scrum after training camp practice
"“He’s a big, strong, powerful downhill runner, more so than anything else. He does have a little shake to him, but if you look at it, Antonio is a little more elusive guy, more off the edge. Where with Brian, we can take it inside, or we can take it off the edge.”
With Antonio Gibson on the sidelines to begin training camp, Robinson has gotten a ton of run at the position and is getting better by the day.
Last season Robinson carried the load for the very young offense while Bryce Young was gaining confidence in game situations.
B-Rob had 14 rushing touchdowns for over 1000 yards, along with two receiving touchdowns. His presence was much needed to get the young offense off the ground and this year he looks to make an impact in Washington while also providing depth at the position.
