Reggie Grimes knows what it means to wear the Crimson and White on Saturdays.

With nearly 1,400 yards rushing his senior season in high school, Grimes had a choice of where to continue his playing days. With offers aplenty on the table he had his choices, but Grimes eventually settled on the University of Alabama.

A towering defensive end, standing tall at 6-foot-5 and tipping the scales at nearly 290 lbs, Grimes was a standout for the Crimson Tide in the mid-late 90s after a prep career at Hunters Lane High School, in Nashville Tennessee-where he played quarterback, fullback, and linebacker. In his final year, Alabama finished 8th in the country, winning 10 games, including a 7-1 mark in Southeastern Conference play.

Grimes had his share of success in Tuscaloosa, but none like the accolades that decorate the football program in the past four seasons. Upon hearing of the news of the arrests of four Alabama Football players for charges ranging from robbery to credit-debit card fraud, Grimes recalled the fact it is a privilege to play for Alabama and playing football for the Tide means being held to a higher standard.
