Former Gardner-Webb pitcher Bobby Alcock is transferring to Alabama.

Alcock has spent three seasons at Gardner-Webb, recording a 3.27 earned run average, 185 strikeouts, 117 hits, 81 walks, 70 runs (57 earned), 11 doubles, eight home runs, two triples, and a 9-6 record.

He won the 2023 Big South Pitcher of the Year Award last season.

The Mass., native is the fifth player Alabama has picked up out of the portal this offseason, joining former Wofford pitcher Coulson Buchanan, former Ole Miss outfielder T.J. McCants, former Maryland outfielder Ian Petrutz, and former Rutgers outfielder Evan Sleight.
