Eddie Jackson has been a staple of the Chicago Bears defense since being drafted by the team in 2017, and so far, he appears to be on track for his best season in three years.  On Sunday against the Houston Texans, Jackson flashed the dominance on the back end that Bears fans have been waiting for from their former two-time Pro Bowl safety.

Jackson helped lead the Bears to a 23-20 victory over the Houston Texans. He finished the game second on the team in tackles with eight, forced a fumble and made a toe-tap interception in the back of the end-zone to prevent the Texans from scoring in the first quarter.

The interception puts Jackson in a tie for second place in the league with two and only Raven's defensive back Marcus Williams has more.  The Chicago Bears are now (12-0) when Jackson makes an interception indicating the team's success falls in line with Jackson's personal achievements.

Prior to this season, Jackson had not made an interception since 2019 where he finished with two on the season.

Jackson's forced fumble also came when the Texans were knocking on the door to score again and helped stall the drive before the Texans eventually made it into the end zone.

Jackson did suffer an injury during the game, but was able to return to the field of play after being examined in the medical tent.

Jackson and the Bears will travel to face the Giants next Sunday where they will look to keep their win streak alive against a Giants team that has started the season 2-0.
