According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama is one of five finalists for Abrams in his recruitment.

Abrams has an all SEC and Big Ten final five, with Alabama joined by Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, and Oregon in the top five schools.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is ranked as a four-star prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. According to 247 Sports composite rankings, Abrams is the 212th-ranked overall prospect in the class, the No. 15 linebacker, and the No. 6 player in the state of Maryland.

Alabama officially offered Abrams in January 2025, and he holds 30 offers, with 16 of them coming from the SEC or the Big Ten.

Abrams took an unofficial visit to Alabama on March 17. He does not currently have an official visit schedule with Alabama, although that should change soon with the Crimson Tide landing in his top five teams.

He is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 16, before his senior year begins.

In an interview with On3 Sports, Abrams recapped his first visit to Tuscaloosa in March after receiving an offer from Alabama in January.

"The practice was very intense. It was full of a lot of energy. Coaches jumping around, players talking trash. I wouldn’t want to be in any other environment, to be honest," Abrams said.
