Four-Star Linebacker Places Tide in Top Four
Alabama has been relentless on the recruiting trail, resulting in the Tide currently holding the sixth-ranked recruiting class, according to On3. Once again, they are making headlines, but this time with a four-star linebacker from Maryland.

On Tuesday, On3's Hayes Fawcett reported that Nick Abrams II, a four-star linebacker from Owings Mills, Maryland, included the Crimson Tide in his top four schools, which are Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and Alabama.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker is entering his senior season at McDonogh High School where he is a force on the football field with Abrams being ranked as the No.14 linebacker in the class, No.6 player out of the state of Maryland, and the 202nd overall prospect in the 2026 class according to On3.
Abrams recently visited Tuscaloosa for the first time in March, and he left impressed by the intensity and competitiveness he observed during the Tide's practice. The four-star linebacker told On3 in an interview after his visit, "The practice was very intense. It was full of energy, with coaches moving around and players talking trash. I wouldn’t want to be in any other environment, to be honest."
The sixth overall prospect from the state of Maryland has scheduled an official visit with the Tide for June 13. Abrams has already confirmed official visits with all of his top schools. According to On3, these are the dates for the four-star linebacker’s visits.
- May 16- Georgia
- June 6- Michigan
- June 13- Alabama
- June 20- Oregon
Abrams spoke on what all four of his top schools have in common, telling On3 that "All four bring a lot to the table, so all four are a good option for me.”
Kalen DeBoer and his staff will aim to impress the highly touted linebacker on his official visit in June with this being his second-ever visit to the Tide's campus. This would be a huge addition to the Tide's 2026 class which currently doesn't have a linebacker commit.
