Alabama Basketball may have had a disappointing end of the season, losing to the San Diego State Aztecs in the Sweet 16 this year, but what most certainly didn't disappoint today was Herb Jones's best performance of his NBA career, leading his New Orleans Pelicans to a 138-131 overtime win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Jones led the Pelicans in scoring with a career-high 35 points as well as tallying seven rebounds and three blocks. He even scored on five out of eight 3-pointers, which is also the most in his NBA career. Jones, Trey Murphy, and CJ McCollum all combined for a whopping 96 points in the win.

Jones is proving that the Tide can produce superstar NBA athletes as well as they produce superstar athletes in the NFL. JD Davison and Keon Ellis are currently climbing the G-League ladder for NBA success. Brandon Miller and Noah Clowney are also projected to go to the first round in the 2023 NBA Draft. If Nate Oats can consistently coach players and the Tide to success, Alabama could be a big basketball college name for the NBA in a few years.
