New Orleans Pelicans rookie and former Alabama Crimson Tide guard Kira Lewis Jr. has not gotten off to what one might consider to be a fast start early on in his young professional career, but fans should not be worried, at least according to Zion Williamson.

Williamson, last year's first overall pick and already one of the most well known names in basketball says that Lewis has been "unbelievable" in practice. Williamson added that he cannot wait to see him grow as a player and reach his full potential.

Lewis, the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft joined Collin Sexton as the second Alabama player taken in the draft lottery in three years.

Through his first ten games in the league, Lewis has only averaged 8.8 minutes a game, leading to a pedestrian 3.9 points per game and 1.1 assists per game. He has shot the ball relatively well in his limited action though, knocking down 36.4% of his three point attempts.

Lewis will certainly look to continue to improve his game in all facets before he becomes an impact player in the NBA. However, while expectations should be tampered, seeing this praise from someone like Zion Williamson is certainly something both fans of the Pelicans and of the Crimson Tide should be excited about.
