High School Football Roundup

Four area teams were knocked out of the Alabama High School Athletic Association football playoffs Friday night.

The teams seeing their season come to an end included Hubbertville, Linden, Lamar County and Berry.  Meanwhile Fayette County, Pickens County and Sweet Water saw their seasons extended into the fourth round of the playoffs.

In 1A Pickens County will meet Marion County. In 2A Sweet Water is paired with Washington County. In 3A Fayette County will showdown with Straughn after taking care of Leeds in round three.
