Prior to the matchup, Alabama had several players injured during the win over the LSU Tigers. As protocol dictates, injury reports are only provided when Southeastern Conference opponents meet. Therefore, the status of players who were out, questionable, or probable to play was unknown until kickoff, except for linebacker Que Robinson (out for the season).

While in Baton Rouge, defensive back Devonta Smith and offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts were injured as well. However, Smith saw the field today for a short period in the first quarter (had a forced fumble) before being replaced by DaShawn Jones for the remainder of the game. Roberts did not play, with Geno VanDeMark stepping in for him.

Jones and VanDeMark also replaced them when they left the game due to injuries against LSU.

As for Robinson's replacement, Qua Russaw, who has also battled injuries, stepped in and  made his presence known with an acrobatic interception in under a minute to play in the first quarter.

The current status of Smith and Roberts is unknown. For updates, stay tuned to Tide 100.9.
