Jackson Bratton signed his letter of intent to join the Alabama Crimson Tide today. December 18 is the first day high school seniors can officially sign with their new college programs. Bratton is a four star inside linebacker out of Muscle Shoals High School in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He is ranked as the 172nd overall recruit in the country and the sixth ranked recruit in the state of Alabama by 247sports.

Bratton was offered a scholarship by Alabama in February of 2018 and he committed to the Tide in March of 2018. He was named a Class 6A First Team All-State linebacker as a junior in 2018. In November of 2019 he was named a finalist for the high school Butkus Award, given to the nation’s top linebacker. Current Crimson Tide linebacker Dylan Moses won the award in 2016.

Bratton was a participant in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star football game on December 14. He recorded seven tackles in the game. In his senior season at Muscle Shoals High School, Bratton tallied 126 tackles, seven sacks, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He was primarily recruited to Alabama by defensive coordinator Pete Golding. Bratton will play baseball this spring and enroll at Alabama in the summer.
